I consider myself a late bloomer because I was over the age of 30 before I discovered my passion and love of writing. But I'm a firm believer that it truly doesn't matter what age you are when you discover your passions and purpose in life. I believe we all have amazing gifts and talents and it's our job to discover them and share them with the world.
The short version of who I am , is I discovered my gift of writing at the age of 32 after learning that I had 2 chronic, incurable illnesses. At the time it was hard to think that I would receive an amazing gift while dealing with illness, but that's exactly what happened.
After discovering my passion for writing and wanting to help inspire others through my writing, a fire ignited within me and I decided that my passion and purpose in life was to inspire others through my writing and from that day forward my entire life changed.
I've been on an amazing journey that has taken me from not only having stories featured in books, but I have also built my own websites, had an online bath and body products website, hosted my own internet radio show, volunteered at board and care facilities, hospice centers, Make A Wish, as well as a shelter for at risk teens.
I've also had the pleasure of interviewing successful well known women authors, life coach's, singers and successful business women of all ages and from all walks of life and am currently working on a book that will include those interviews. I feel so lucky to have been able to connect and interview some amazing Divine Diva's such as Carly Phillips. Jodi Picoult, Barbara Taylor Bradford, Tiffany, Salle Redfield, Karen Drucker and many women who I had admired for many years. I also experienced one of the greatest moments ever when I interviewed the Fabulous Rhonda Britten. How awesome is that?
If you can dream it, you can do it. Walt DisneyI've also had stories and poetry published in anthology books, as well as on websites, newsletters, and my inspirational poetry has made its way to hospitals, homeless shelters, support groups, newspapers, and I even had an appearance on a local television show.
I'm super passionate about helping women of all ages and from all walks of life and have mentored women and young girls who have been abused and or self injure. I had a cousin who was abused and murdered by her ex-husband several years ago and that led me to reach out to other abused women to mentor, and along the way I also came into contact with many young women and girls who were not only abused, but dealt with self injury as well.
I'm also super passionate about helping women and girls discover their purpose and passions in life and have mentored women and young girls who are trying to create a business and need help with ideas and creative guidance along the way. I have always been known as the idea woman and I love to help women get on the road to creating the life they are meant to live.
That's the short version of who I am. The long version I plan on writing a book about and I also have several other book projects as well. Sadly over the last year I lost everything I had ever written with a computer crash, so all of my books that were in the works will all have to rewritten.
I've been on an amazing journey from the moment I declared my purpose and learned so many things along the way and have connected with so many amazing people and I can't wait to share all that I have learned with you on my blog.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I have some amazing things planned for the future and I look forward to connecting with all of you FABULOUS DIVINE DIVA'S
